My Week

This week has been a normal week in my life nothing special happened to me, working hard writing which to be honest is so relaxing for me, the Moving Series is nearly all done and I hope to have at least a month for you all, when it will be out very soon. Keep you eyes open for the cover and the blurb they will be on here very soon :)

So other than writing what have I been up to, well this we was playing games with my boys, I have two boys aged 6 and 3 and they are very active, I am so tried at the end of the day.

This week we made a Cars jigsaw puzzle which was a lot of fun, looking at my oldest trying very hard to make some of the piece fit, even if there were the wrong piece, can't blame him for trying.
My a my little one play with The Avenger Play-doh, he loves play-doh and if had the choice he would play with that and nothing else all day.
Then we had a family board game night and we played the cube, and the game is so much harder than I thought is would be, I have no idea how some of the tasks can be done, but we will be playing it again, as the family had so much fun.

This week I have also started my healthy eating, I wanted to take picture of most of the food that I made but I kept forgetting, so the only picture I took are of my breakfast.

Home made pancakes and waffles, I will try harder this week to remember to take pictures before I eat all my food. Me and my sister are also going to start boxercising which should be fun, not sure if we are starting next week, or the week after that but I will be keeping you all up to date on that.

I have also got my eye on two things that I really want to buy myself, as a treat.

These brushes have been all over the place, and they cost a lot, I have only been able to find the from US site and this one is a foundation brush which is $40.

These candles smell amazing, when ever I got to the store I have to have a smell of them, the mini ones are £20 and the larger ones are 190g are £40 so its not something that I can go to the store and just pick up, it will be something that will be a treat for myself.

Do you have something that is on your wish list? Let me know.

I am a very positive thinker and read a lot of positive books, the other day I saw this on Instagram and I could to agree with it more.

I love looking at things like this through out the day, to remind myself that I shouldn't worry about making other people happy, if they don't care why should I.
Do you have a favourite saying, or quote? please let me know as I have a small note book which I write down all the ones I like so though out the day I can open to page and read it, and would like to add more to that note book.

So not much happening this week, but I do have a giveaway happing for a chance to win a copy of Moving On and Moving Forward, you can enter here. All you have to do it recommend me a book to read that simple.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Moving Forward Snipper

I know that I have kept everyone waiting for Moving Forward to come out, so today I thought I would share a snipper of Chapter One with you all.
I hope you all enjoy :)

I stand in front of Nick, waiting for him to answer me. The man that I want to spend the rest of my life with is hiding something from me, and for James to come straight here from prison, it has to be something big. Big enough to know that it could be the end for me and Nick.
I’ve asked Nick before about Kristen, but I’ve always had the same answer from him. It ended badly when his Grandfather died, he turned to alcohol and drugs and I never thought about it again. Come on, Kristen had a very good reason to leave. Why would I think something was wrong with that?

“Nick!” I shout his name again. “What’s James talking about?”
I watch Nick walk off into the kitchen, saying nothing to me. Not even tossing a glance at me, he pulls out a beer from the fridge. “Kim, I love you, and that’s all you need to know,” he says taking a sip of his beer.
“Well, there is something that you’re hiding - so the way I see it is you have two choices: you can tell me or James will,” I say watching Nick’s body tense up. Hearing the name James leave my lips gives me shivers.
“No, I don't want you talking to him!” he shouts out, putting his beer on the counter.
I walk to the end of the kitchen counter, and look at him, “Then tell me!” I say, my voice becoming even louder.

Taking his hand through his hair, he looks back down at the counter. “You have to know that I have changed so much since then.” Nick looks at me and I can see the pleading in his eyes, “Promise me that you believe that I have changed.”
“I don’t have to promise anything until you start talking,” I bite back.
“I started dating Kristen, and we were together about six months,” he stops to take in a deep breath, “then my Grandfather died, and my world around me fall apart. It was like the world had swallowed me in and I couldn't get out. I started drinking, which leads to drugs. I mean - I was high all the time.” He stops and looks at me, but I don't say anything to him, as I want him to carry on. “One day - ” Nick stops at a knock at the door.

NO! The voice in my head starts shooting out in anger, rubbing my head as Nick goes to answer the door.

“Eric, this will have to wait until the morning,” Nick says, looking at the new arrival.
“No, this can’t,” Eric's tone is panicked. “Your mother is suing you,” he says, pushing Nick out of the way so that he can come inside.
“What?” Nick says in shock. Even I’m shocked at the new game that she’s playing. Does she not have anything better to do with her time?
“She says that you’re making the wrong decisions for the company. That you’re in love and it’s clouding your judgment. So she wants you out and Patrick in.” Eric looks at me as he explains to Nick what is happening.
Just when I thought we had gotten rid of that bitch, she has to find a way to worm her way back in. What a bitch! The voice in my head shouts out.
“Can we talk about this in the morning Eric? I have….” Nick looks over at me,
“No, your mother is taking over, so we have to get a case together. We need to be in court like… yesterday.” Eric looks at Nick, looking at me.

I look at Nick, not saying anything to him. I want him to stay and talk about what is happening and tell Eric to get out.  I need to know what Nick is hiding from me. I need to get my head around everything.
“Nick, let's go!” Eric shouts out.
“Eric, this has to wait until the morning.” Nick says, turning to face Eric, as he waves his hands around.

Eric shoots a look my way, as if to say ‘he will lose all this because of you, because you need him here to hold your hand.’ If Eric’s eyes could kill me, they would, with the stare I’m getting from him.
“Just go Nick,” I say, just so Eric will stop staring at me.
“Kim,” Nick starts.
“Just go,” I say, taking a step back not wanting to hear what he wants to say about it.
“I’m calling Brian, to come over to stay with you.” Nick says looking at me. “I will be back as soon as I can.”
“This conversation is not over.” I yell back at him as I walk towards the balcony.

I sit outside, playing with the glass of wine in my hands. As much as I want to drink this right now the thought of being pregnant stops me. This whole Kristen situation has me wondering what else has Nick been hiding from me, and why is he trying so hard to keep this a secret? Can it be that bad? The thought scares me. As Brian sits down next to me as I wipe away the tears from my cheeks.

I am hoping that for my next post I should have some idea of a date for you all fingers crossed :)

Weekend update

I have been busy this weekend, I went to see my niece I just can't get enough of her, I wish I could just take her home with me but I can't :(

I have have been busy writing :) which is always a good think if you ask me.
I am still waiting from my beta about Moving Forward, but I do have a cover now which I will post on Wednesday for everyone to see, and again soon as i hear from he beta and what they say about the story I hope to have a date for when I can put it out there for you all.

I wanted to start writing the third, but finding it a little hard because I know what is happening in the third book but it is just the bits that make the story flow which I am trying to figure out at the moment, soon as I have notes for how I how would like everything to plan out I will start writing. PROMISE.

I have two stories in my head at the moment that are driving my insane lol in a good way.
I want to see how I go with a chick lit story, I have the idea but not the whole story, as it plays parts in my head I am writing everything down so that I do not forget. I am hoping that once I have finished the Moving Series this will be the next story. Fingers crossed.

The other story I have is about bikers, now that is something new for me. I don't want it to be a hardcore biker book but I want that feel to it. I have so much written on paper for that story I can't even beginning to tell you. I don't know if I want that to be a stand alone or a series just yet, or do I want it to be a stand alone, but there can be another book to follow it so I am playing around with that idea at the moment and when I have something I will let you all know.

I have also been reading this week, and the book is Driven by K.Bromberg I love this book so much so good so if I can tell you to go buy one book it would be this one. I love the characters in the story, the way that it is written get a copy today.

Moving On teaser

I give a loud cough to let him know I am in the room.
"Miss Turner.” He says as he spins around and eyes me with a smile.
I don’t return it, how can I? I most probably look like I’ve just risen from my grave.

"How do you know where I live?" I immediately ask, sounding cranky.
“If I want something, I get it." He smirks.
I remember that, that's something he lives by and I don't give a shit about it.
"That doesn't answer my question, Mr Webb." I say impatiently, crossing my arms across my chest.  I raise my eyebrow at him. Surely no one’s that up themselves?
"From your office.” He admits, finally, and my eyebrows snap together, must be Rob, no doubt about it.
"What do you want?" I ask as if he’s boring me. I start tapping my bare foot on the floor and purse my lips.
He eyes me carefully, but I don’t budge.
"I have a charity event this evening.” He finally begins to explain. “I want you to be my date.”
What kind of game is he playing?
“Uh, usually you have to ask.” I prompt him. “But it doesn’t matter anyway, because I'm going to the event as a reporter.” I pause briefly. “Zoe’s my date."
His lips then purse together, clearly trying not to smile.
"How about lunch then?"
Ugh, he just won’t give up!
"I have to go shopping, sorry." I turn to walk away.
"You can join us for lunch.” Zoe says as she pops her head out of the kitchen.
I stop in my tracks and look at her with wide eyes.
“That’s a wonderful invitation.” I spin back around to face him, planting a fake smile on my face. But he turns away from me and is now handing Zoe his card. “Give me a call when you’re ready.”
"We will.” She smiles and takes the card from him.
Before leaving, he shoots one last glance at me and again, tries not to laugh. How could he not get the hint? I can’t date anyone; last night was clearly proof of that.

"What the hell?" I ask Zoe when she closes the door.
"The poor guy is trying so hard.” She defends herself, avoiding eye contact with me. “I felt bad! He had puppy dog eyes!"
"He didn't have puppy dog eyes and he just basically stalked me in our flat! Don't you find that creepy? Or scary?"
"You know what it is? It's called effort.” Zoe says, rolling her eyes. “And a hot guy putting that much effort in for you is sweet and romantic."
Now I roll my eyes though my heart skips a beat from her words, giving me a glimmer of hope that Nick actually wants to be nice to me, but I swallow it down. I can’t think that.
"I'll never win an argument with you, saying stuff like that.” I shake my head at her.
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise, though. If I went on just one date with Nick, then he’d leave me alone.
"Because you're so negative.” Zoe says, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Whatever.” I sigh as we leave and head to the stores.

Here is another tear for you all, I hope that you enjoy this. x

I’m glad I have Zoe to accompany me tonight. Hopefully it won't feel too much like work and just a nice night out to take my mind off things.
“How about one of these?” Zoe holds up two dresses. They’re absolutely stunning.
I smile gratefully at Zoe; she is amazing at picking outfits. She chooses a black strapless dress for me that falls just below my knee. The lace on the breast area makes the whole look both chic and classic. Meanwhile, Zoe picks a body hugging plum colored dress with laced sleeves, perfectly highlighting her skin tone and wild hair.
"They won't think you're a reporter at all.” She says, and we both try not to laugh.

“Well, I’ll sort this out at the counter while you make a phone call.” She quickly winks and then disappears further into the store.
“Zoe!” I whine, but she’s already in line. I take a deep breath.
It’s just lunch, no biggie. I tell myself.
I pull out my phone, and the card that Zoe had obviously slipped into my bag.
It rings once.
“Nicholas Webb.” His business voice sounds through the earpiece.
"Uh, hi Mr Webb, it’s Miss Turner… Kim.” I pause.
I must sound like an idiot.
“We’re about to have lunch.” I slap my forehead.
Smooth Kim, smooth.
"So where are we eating?" He asks. “And call me Nick.” I can practically hear the smile in his voice. Is he laughing at me? Well, I would too. That was so embarrassing!
I quickly rack my brain before he has another reason to laugh.
"There’s an Italian Restaurant just around the corner from the mall.” I suggest, doubt filling my mind.
He probably only dines at seven star restaurants.
“I know the one. I’ll meet you both there.”
Well I’m really surprised! That's why it's wrong to stereotype. I should have known better.

When Zoe and I walk into the restaurant, a waitress leads us to the table and Nick’s already there. I take a deep breath as I sit down; I can feel his hazel eyes on me.
"How was your shopping trip?" He looks straight at me, that navy suit fitting him like a glove.
"Good, thanks.” I answer, looking at my menu.
"How's your day been so far?” Zoe asks, making conversation.
"Busy.” He sighs. “Spent it mainly in meetings.”
"The life you're leading tends to be like that.” Zoe points out the obvious, nudging me with her elbow and I fight the urge to roll my eyes at her.
"But you've been doing a great job so far." I interject, entering the conversation and I hold his gaze. I can feel the giddy vibes oozing out from Zoe's pores, beside me.
"Thank you, Miss Turner." He says with a smile.
"Can I take your order?" The waiters asks to my right, saving me from answering or making more of a fool out of myself.
"Can I have the chicken fettuccine and some red wine, please?" I say, cracking my first smile, but aimed at the waiter.
"Same for me, please." Zoe hands in her menu.
"My usual.” Nick says, taking my menu from me and passing it to the waiter.
I smile in thanks and it never even occurred to me that he might have a usual.
"Please.” I say quickly to the waiter.
"You might be rich in money, but your manners are poor." I raise an eyebrow at Nick. I can see his smirk creeping across his face again.
"Sorry, that was rude." He looks at the waiter. "Please."
The waiter fights a grin as he saunters off from our table.

Zoe and Nick talk for most of the time while I play around with my food.
"What do you really want?"
Did I just say that out loud?
Their heads snap up, both staring at me with surprise. Zoe’s eyes are wide with total disapproval while Nick leans back in his chair, his eyes swimming with curiosity. I honestly didn’t mean for that to slip out, but I was sick of this stupid game that he was playing.
“What I mean is.” I lick my lips and straighten up in my chair. “What do you want… with me?”
Nick leans forward and clasps his hands together. Always so serious.
“Well, I wanted to take you to dinner, and you said no.” He raises an eyebrow at me, and I feel a little guilty. “Then I wanted to take you to the event this evening, you said no.” I open my mouth to argue back, but shut it again when he lifts a finger. “So here I am, having lunch with you.” He finishes, leaning back in his chair.
"But I said no for a reason.” I say firmly, barely blinking as we continue to hold each other’s gaze.
 "Then, what’s the reason?"
“Let's just say I'm not interested, and leave it at that." I sigh, looking around for the waiter to ask for the bill. I think it’s time I left.
"If you could excuse me.” He says, leaving the table when his phone suddenly rings.
Well there goes my leaving plan.

"What are you doing?" Zoe whisper shouts at me.
"Nothing.” I whisper back. “I don’t want this."
"Oh please!” She scoffed. “I can tell you feel something when he looks at you. Give him a chance."
I feel weird, that's what I feel.
Zoe is pushing this too hard. I just don’t know why she is doing this then I’d be royally pissed. I don't want to feel anything for Nicholas Webb. Not just to him, in fact, not anyone. Not again.
"That would work well, wouldn't it?” I cross my arms to be more dramatic. “Where would I start? ‘You can't touch me because I freak out’”
Zoe lets out a long, aggravated sigh.
“The less he knows the better.” I continue, lowering my voice. Zoe says nothing back.
"Sorry about that.” Nick says as he re-joins us, causing Zoe to shut her mouth again and my shoulders relax.

I take my glass in my hand and pretend to drink so that I don't have to start a conversation. There’s a moment of silence, and I can tell that he knows something’s up. Zoe then jumps in and starts up the conversation, but I can feel his eyes on me the whole time.
